**THE STROKES FAN FIC** Maya Sørensen, a young NYU student, runs into a group of tight-knit guys. This group including Nick Valensi and Julian Casablancas, two people that had previously fallen in love with her. Taking over the course of 7 years (1997-2004), this story is about love, hate, and everything in between. Maya finds herself in a love triangle between Nick Valensi and Julian Casablancas, but as she falls in love, she also falls upon family secrets that will make her question everything. (I hadn't read the book before I started writing this but there is a surprising amount of similarities between my story and @happylittlehelders "Wish I wasn't so shy" which was written way before this. It wasn't the inspiration but the book is really good, check it out!) *Story is undergoing major editing at the moment, I started writing in late 2020 - early 2021*

| completed | edited | # 20 in Hogwarts School of Witchcraft of Wizardry 7.11.19 | # 52 in Harry Potter 7.11.19 (please read something newer of mine i beg of you) Throughout history, the word fate has been a word with differing definitions. Some people believed the word to be connected with death, others believed it to be defined as your true meaning in life, the remaining didn't believe in fate. Y/N believed Fate to be a mix of the former two. She believed in Destiny. In her opinion, it was a much more gratifying word compared to Fate. James Potter, however, had his own unique opinion on the word. He believed that Fate was what brought you to your Soul Mate. And what better place to find your soulmate than Hogwarts?
