Elsa is confronted by a messenger from the southern isles saying Hans was calling Anna's name that morning, a week after he betrayed her, and that he claimed to not know what had happened in the past week. That when he was about to kiss Anna, everything went blank. Unsure of what was meant by this, she goes to the trolls to find out what was wrong with him.
