Highschool/Soulmates AU The Novak's and Winchester's live in a world where everything is grey, up until you meet your soulmate, at which point they'll be able to see colours. It all seems pretty simple, unless you don't know who you met. Dean and Castiel met drunk at a party, waking up with no memory but colours everywhere. They have no idea who they met but Castiel is determined to find his soulmate. Dean however is not exactly enthusiastic about the idea of soulmates. Sam, the 'perfect' student, gets a bit bored and ups his small pranks to starting a war with the schools renowned Trickster. Of course, Gabriel has no idea who this guy is but that doesn't stop the war between them. And so without meaning to, the two start to know each other quite well.

Dean Winchester is nineteen years old and only a year out of high school when he gets sent to the hospital after a argument with his father. Nothing serious occurred, but Dean was required to spend the next few days under observation. While he is spending his time in the hospital of utter boredom, he meets Castiel, a young man the same age as him as a patient of cancer. Forming a quick bond, he begins visiting the boy even when he gets out, but is something more going on?

Castiel is Dean's best friend. And when a pack of Vampires kidnap Cas in hope of trapping the Winchesters, Dean drops everything to save him. Out of the fire and into the frying pan life goes on until the vampires motive is realeased and Dean realises, that there is a much deeper motive behind all that has happened. Events turn sour and Dean says his final goodbyes before accepting his inevtiable fate.

After Dean gives a blind man shelter during a storm, a friendship begins forming between the two. Dean begins to notice that something is off about Castiel, and he can't figure out what it is, but that doesn't stop the growing attraction Dean has for him.
