I wanted to enter the Kissing Booth competition. Writing a story about high school romance in 500 words or under. I'm not in the states unfortunately so it won't count. But I was struck with inspiration and wanted to write it anyway.

Allerdale Hall and it's surrounding grounds has been purchased by the National Trust and undergone a massive regeneration project in order to restore and maintain it's historical beauty. Now it has opened it's doors to the public, visitors can get a glimpse inside the gothic mansion with a notoriously murky past. Scarlet Winters is an art student and a bit of a loner. She's working at the hall, hoping to set aside enough money to move from Cumbria to London. Battling her own demons is something she's used to, however she soon finds herself an unwanted, and otherworldly companion after inadvertently evoking the spirit of Sir Thomas Sharpe. Being the only living person who can see him, the lonely pair have to learn to get along, whilst Thomas struggles to adapt to 21st Century afterlife. But how will the malevolent entity of Lucille take to the intrusion and come to terms with her beloved brothers unlikely friendship?
