Lady Eliza Turner has no interest in finding herself a wealthy husband, she has her books, her best friend Charlotte, and plenty of opinions on what society expects from her. When her curiosity gets the better of her, and she ends up in a compromising position with the desirable Duke Harrington she must use all her wits and charm to survive the scandal she has created. Jasper Harrington doesn't enjoy attending social occasions especially when opinionated women think that it is acceptable to criticise him, but there is something about Eliza that he can't quite bear to part with. Are this odd couple going to find a happy ever after together or apart?

Elizabeth Bennet lives with her mother, father, and sisters in the English countryside. As the eldest, she faces mounting pressure from her parents to marry. When the outspoken Elizabeth is introduced to the handsome and upper-class Mr. Darcy, sparks fly. Reading P&P, Mr Darcy's feelings seem rather acute, but do not get much attention. This story explores them from the moment just after his rejection, to beyond his actual marriage. The action follows P&P exactly, but some secondary characters, most notably Georgiana and Mrs Younge, push the boundaries of Miss Austen's description. The style of writing diverges from hers ever more.

Elisabeth was coming home for her sister's wedding to be the Maid of Honor. If she would've known what the Best Man, William would've been like though, she probably would've told her sister no and give it to her soon to be witchy sister in law- Carolynn. William loved Chase like a brother but having all the mothers throwing their daughters at him, Will was about to ditch the whole thing and just send the Jean and Chase black plane tickets on his private jet to anywhere they want and pay for the honeymoon, then he met Elisabeth, Jean's sister, a spit fire that would rather kiss a frog than be in his presence.

What if Mr. Darcy was more determined to have Elizabeth? No matter the price? What if Lydia's situation forced Elizabeth to accept his advances? Will Elizabeth's prejudice, anger, and hatred for Mr. Darcy persist . . . or will she realize that love is sometimes found in places she never expected it to be found? An alternate ending to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, currently my favorite book of all time. May change the rating later. Hope you enjoy!
