Xerus has been defeated and peace has returned to the world, that is until a new Battle City Tournament is announced. Duelist from all over the world have gathered to claim the title of the 'New King of Games'. Yuko, his friends, and a newcomer named Koji have all entered. In the far future, Duel Monsters has taken a turn. Duelists no longer use the Fusion, Synchro, and Xyz Monsters due to them being forbidden from the game. Everyone now duels with green colored monster cards called Zeo Monsters. Yuko, the main hero, learns of the forbidden cards as he and his friends battle against The Legion, a organization who wants to shape the world into their own kingdom by using the forces of Water, Fire, Wind, Earth, and Chaos to destroy the current world. She found herself submerged, an unexpected aquatic world unfolding around her. Panic crept in as her ankles remained bound, immobilized as if by an unseen force. An attempt to move her arms yielded no results - they were ensnared in an unyielding grip. Seaweed, sinuous and trailing, wrapped itself around her legs with an almost possessive hold.
