Lalit is a weak being in the world of magic. He is part of a race that, though gifted with wings and power, is very fragile. The race has no name, but the creatures are ofter called sprites or pixies. Anything along those lines, really. The only thing that gives these beings any sort of strength is that when one is born, a dragon egg is hatched and given to the child. The dragon lives by and protects the child, an unbreakable bond between both creatures. Lalit and his dragon Bane work for the Queen as messengers. When a trip that should have been easy and quick turns into a nightmare of kindnapping, ransoms, and extraordinarily handsome captors, Lalit must fight for their lives and his dignity.

Berlin Cahill has always been different. He was the smallest of the bunch from the beginning. When he did not shift at the age of 13, as all werewolves do, he was shunned from the social life of his pack. However, when he found his mate, everything changed. He was accepted once again, and his inherently shy nature slowly fell away. In a turn of events, the love of his life was killed in a rogue attack, causing his entire pack to be assimilated into a stronger one. But when Berlin finds that his second-chance mate is the Alpha of this new pack, will he be able to accept him? Or will he forever remain torn? ATTENTION: THIS STORY HAS BEEN REWRITTEN.
