After Yugi Muto graduates, he decides to attain the art academy to become an artist. Yugi has always been really good at painting and drawing. But when he gets a golden puzzle from his grandpa, and eventually solves it, his life changes forever. Who is the stranger that lives inside the puzzle and what do their painting skills have to do with their destiny and their past? Will they defeat evil once again? And above all.. Prince Yami is 8 when little 7 year old Yugi stumbles into the royal garden. They become friends over time but is separated as Yami's parents do a forced marriage, but promises to see him again. Now Yami is 17 and Yugi 16 when he returns and is enrolled into the same school. But when he finds Yugi things aren't the same. How will everything turn out? And what has happened to Yugi? He takes Yugi in and starts to work with him, getting him used to the atmosphere of almost never knowing when your patient could die on you or you could make any mistake at any time.
