Six heroes from different countries, who have no idea others exist like them, are rounded up one day to be protected from the government, who issued a plan to execute all persons who seem to have powers. They stay hidden from the world, training and living otherwise normally. That is, until a mysterious villain threatens the Earth. Suddenly, society needs them, and they have to track down this villain and get rid of him. Will they succeed and it all end happily? Or will they fail and the world fall into chaos? This was inspired by a song by Leonard Cohen, and it was originally meant to be a long oneshot in my oneshot book, but, I decided I would make it into its own book. The cover was created by me. This story is a Sanders Sides FF Human AU where all of the Sides are in high school. Virgil is the new strange "Emo" kid whose hair changes color with his emotion. Virgil considers himself to be a loner but this new group of friends catches him off guard, especially when he catches feelings for one of his friends. Virgil moved to New York to try and move past his old demons that had been causing him to struggle in life since he was thirteen. The problem is, he's got limited money, and being new in town means he's got no friends and certainly no family to turn to for help. However, he happens to catch a lucky break by getting a job as a technician for a musical. The anxious young man wasn't expecting to fall in love with the Broadway star playing the lead though.
