This book is a group of retellings and alternate endings that I've written, as you can see by the title. So far there is an alternate ending to The Crucible and a satiric retelling of The Little Mermaid.

No story can completely reveal a character's whole life, and in this book, you will find even less. This is a group of short stories that each show a small piece of a character and their tale.

She can't ever hug her mom, and she can't reach high enough to receive her father's hugs without him having to bend down. Her life is simple. Then the Nazis separate five year-old Emma from her father. Her life becomes full of hardships and fears. This is her story of survival--or death.

Many times I've thought that the English language doesn't have words that express what people are really thinking. So I'm trying to put my thoughts into words by writing these poems.

There was a stranger, one with numerous phone calls to make and an appointment in a few minutes. Walking down the busy streets of Northwood, this stranger would not notice the girl's return at all. Even if the stranger just happened to glance at her, it would simply be a normal teenage girl that would be seen. There would be nothing, albeit the girl's red hair, that would make the girl stand out. However, with another glance into what this girl had just gone through, and where this girl would end up going, the story would be completely different. At first, she was just a normal girl. Emerald lived the life of a talented, enjoyable teenager. But a move turned into a trap. An escape turned into a kidnapping. A stranger turned into family. And talented turned into powerful. So a normal life changed into an adventure, and a warless world started to become a home of conflict. As a result, there's a story to tell now. Revised! :)
