The weird kid with the funny name would rather isolate himself and draw in his sketchbook than deal with the constant bullying he faces every day. Things only get worse in his junior year when he excels in home economics class, leading the captain of the baseball team, Alastair, to start taunting him for being gay. Then new student Dean Winchester arrives at Flour Bluff High School, sharing many of Castiel's classes. Another town, another case, another school. It was the usual cycle of the life of Dean Winchester. However this time around on an unplanned trip to the library Dean meets someone who changes everything... Dean meets Castiel

It was a completely normal hunt for a werewolf. Everything seemed to be going great, except for the fact one werewolf turns out to be a whole pack. Dean and Cas thought it would be easy peasy until they get attacked by the whole pack. One thing leads to another and now Dean can see souls and even angel wings.

Their father has hardly been in their lives, his job as a drug dealer requiring him to disappear for long periods of time and causing them to move around a lot. But when their dad finally gets arrested, a man named Bobby Singer takes the boys in and enrolls them in a more permanent school. And as if his father's incident wasn't hard enough on him, Dean begins to question his sexuality when he meets quiet, introverted, and (he must admit) quite cute Castiel.
