Three Spacecraft, two-hundred-and-forty colonists, twenty-five trillion miles and a discovery that changes everything. "Astronomicon: Inception Point" follows the human race's intrepid first steps into interstellar space, a colonisation mission to Proxima Centauri. The colossal distance and harsh environment are not all that stands between them and survival. This first volume in the epic Astronomicon series is the story of their desperate adventures and the political machinations that are unfolding back on Earth, which threaten to end space exploration permanently. With colonies on Mars and a thriving mining community around Jupiter, will everyone want to come home? ------------------------------------------------------- This is a complete rewrite from scratch of the first novel in the Astronomicon series. It's effectively the same story with many of the same characters (as it must fit with book 2 obviously) but there's LOTS of new stuff, the Elysian spacecraft has been completely redesigned and there are a few new twists added. The science has been hugely improved, the pacing tightened up and I've worked more on character development. Please comment on any chapters you like (or don't like!). I'm particularly interested to hear how this new version compares to the original. And don't forget, if you DON'T like a chapter, please DON'T vote for it! Books #1, #2 and #3 are out on Amazon. If you would like to support my writing, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE leave a review there!!!

"Are ballerinas flexible, darling?" He asked while lifting my chin with his finger. He stood above me, looking down at me as though he held all the power in the world. And in this moment, he did. I shook my head. "Words, Aaliyah." His tone was soft yet his stare sent a submissive shiver down my spine. "Yes...sir." A smirk tugged at his lips as he circled me, "Good girl." He replied whilst analysing me intensely, as though he was racking his brain for exactly what he wanted to do to me. ... Aaliyah Kali has always had whatever she wanted, until she didn't. Otis Blake always had everything he needed, but never what he wanted. Both of them are damaged, broken and tired. They both need saving from the worlds they grew up in and neither of them had any idea how to help themselves until they met each other. ...

**Only the bonus chapter is paid, the rest of the story is (and will stay) free!!** Libby Marks-Whelan is decidedly not a lady. Kicked out of nearly every finishing school in the country, she's shocked when her demure, straight-laced cousin Ella invites her to the royal court as attendant during her debutante season. What Ella fails to realize, however, is that Libby's brand of mischief is exactly the kind of distraction Prince Andrew is looking for during his inaugural season as an eligible bachelor. Echo wasn't like her sisters. She knew that when people talked about the famous and fabulous Reid sisters, they weren't referring to her. Quiet, homely, plain and riddled with social anxiety that made it hard for her to leave the house, she could never have known what was about to happen, she never dreamed she'd live such an adventure. Luke Farina was the most dangerous man around- spoiled, selfish, extremely conceited- he didn't take no for an answer and always got what he wanted. He just never expected that the strange and ridiculous little Echo would be the one to say no and somehow become the one he had to have most. -- NOTE: Hi everyone! I really hope you take the time to read this story. It's already complete for the most part, in just taking it slow in publishing it. It's my first story and I'd love to hear your comments and feedback. I hope you decide to give it a chance! This is also part one of a series and I'm already midway through the next book which can't be released unless this one gets some positive feedback. Thank you and enjoy!

Rachel, a junior assistant in the cargo bay, wasn't prepared for the spaceship's AI to gain awareness during what should have been a routine update, nor had anyone expected it to take exception to the crew and the crates of illegal cargo aboard. Rachel races against time to try and get life-saving systems back online while stranded in the middle of deep space. Unfortunately for her, the AI can access every system, door, and airlock. As truths emerge, the AI realizes that even computers can make miscalculations, and it focuses on the young woman who had dared to confront it. Rachel is left floundering when the AI decides that she would make an excellent captain, albeit one in need of training. As she struggles to learn her new duties and dodge shady government groups, she must ultimately discover what it truly means to be a Starship Captain. ------- There is no romance in this story. "I was so surprised when I saw her red hair that day. I didn't have anybody with red hair in my family. So I figured she got that feature from him. And I found out years later when he needed me to pick up his mother from the airport. Her hair was red like fire, too beautiful to be fake. Just like my little Emma's."
