"Come in Adele" She entered and sat down in one of the plush seats fit for royalty. Her mom sat on the edge of the desk with some papers in her hands. She sat the papers on Adele's lap. With a curious voice she spoke up, "What is this?" "Adele, this is your grandfathers will" Her dad announced motioning to the stack. She flipped through the pages trying to find the answer of what her parents were getting at. "Turn to page fourteen" She did as she was instructed and began scanning the writing. "Section fourteen" she read aloud, "Grandchildren, Adele and Taylor Nelson. Granddaughter and grandson of Dave Nelson. Adele, if she is married by the age of twenty one, will inherit the throne of her parents when the time is sufficient" she stopped reading to look up at her parents. "He wants you married before you take over the throne" her mom said with excitement in her face. "Married! This can't be right!" "I'm afraid it is, if you choose not to wed the throne will be given to your brother"

Samantha wishes she were someone else. Anastasia, to be exact. Anastasia doesn't sit in the corner and read because she's too shy to talk to anyone. She doesn't keep trying and failing. Anastasia slays dragons. Of course, Anastasia is only a character in Samantha's story. That's what Sam does, she writes. She writes to keep the monsters at bay. She creates new worlds to escape into. And she writes to block out the cranky ramblings of her jilted father, who refuses to acknowledge the woman that ran out on them years ago. But Samantha finds herself thrown into a not so magical adventure when she discovers her long lost mother has been in town all along. She has questions that need answering, and a few arrow- accusations... she'd like to sling. But there are obstacles to storming the castle, her father for one. Either Samantha makes this her happily ever after, or it all ends in tears... Either way, the story is about to change.

With his pride and her prejudice, what could possibly go wrong? When the arrogant Blake Hansen steals Addie Preston's promotion at the library, he pretty much rubs her nose in it. But Addie, who dreams of being a full-fledged librarian, decides to stick it out. She loves surrounding herself with books and keeping her father's memory alive in the building where they spent so much time together. Soon, Addie learns that her beloved library will be torn down to make room for a larger facility, and she has to make a choice. Fight, or let go? To complicate things, she finds herself attracted to Blake, who is engaged to someone else. Will Blake and Addie ever resolve their differences? This is a modern retelling of Pride and Prejudice, with hints of the other Jane Austen books as well.
