" We were just as much of an anomaly as those cosmic jellyfish - born from Earth, despite never even seeing such a planet. Floating, endlessly, in waters that weren't our own - not knowing that, despite us once having a home, we could never go back . . . " Two hundred years ago, the planet Earth was deemed unfit to live in. Humanity had ruined the planet beyond repair, their fights amongst each other for resources getting slimmer and slimmer. And so - not knowing what else to do - the lucky few shot for the stars, leaving on massive space stations meant to serve as cities of their own. Vivian Tsi-Ang has grown up on Space Station Yellowbeak her entire life. Orbiting the planet Venus, she, her father, and her sister Lottie have grown familiar with a tightly-knit community. During her childhood, all she had to worry about was the occasional Varmint crawling in - and even then, it was nothing next to what she will soon have to face. When Lottie is whisked away by a mysterious stranger, Vivian knows she has to stop her. Lottie isn't the type to chase after troublemakers, and yet somehow this one caught her eye. Vivian knows her sister well -- she's too much of a goody-two-shoes to just up and leave, and, even more concerningly, this person seems to . . . know something. With the help of a childhood friend and a former bounty hunter, will Vivian be able to save her sister in time? Will she unlock a secret, one that's been lost in time? Or will she fail? A retelling of the classic Bad Boy Meets Good Girl trope, but told from a completely different perspective, Cosmic Jellyfish is a story about sisterhood, unrequited love, and the ups and downs of being a teenager -- set in a bizarre, spacelike universe clinging onto an era that's long-gone. Even hundreds of years after Earth has heaved out its final breath, humanity lives on. How will they survive from here on out? - - - - - Ongoing since January 2022!

After all, this was what they knew, what everyone expected. But that's not what happened. Highest ranks: [27 in #Science Fiction - 25 in #Horror 10-01-2018]

After building a neural-mapper to help his quadriplegic professor, Stu Bigley discovers that the device has much bigger applications. Before the space station can make a decades-long crawl to another solar system, residents need a roadmap, and a strong kick from Earth. THE TRANSUB Two hundred thousand years ago, the Milky Way was seeded with metal spheres filled with entangled quantum bits. The devices allowed digitized intelligence to live inside created worlds. As technological civilizations on other worlds learned how to encode intelligence, they entered these quantum portals, joining a multi-species society that lived inside. The portal makers disappeared a long time ago, and just when humankind needs it most, the system is in crisis.

Power struggles and unequal rights have made interplanetary war all but inevitable. With rebellions arising across the Collective, three captains launch near-suicidal missions to free the oppressed fringe and reset equality across the stars.
