You panicked and ran in a random direction. another mistake on your part, because it only took a few minutes before you started hearing the howling behind you. you chose not to look back. Looking back would serve no good and could possible make you trip. As you heard the dogs draw nearer, your thought about how horrible your life was and how good it would feel to just give in to death, moments later you stopped and just stood there.
