It's the beginning of the summer of 1999, Cristina's mother is forcing her to go spend her summer with her grandmother at her place in Portugal. Owen's stepdad has to move to Portugal for his new job and his mom wants him to spend the summer there so that he can get used to the small town they'll be living in. Both of them are convinced this is going to be the worst summer ever but their meetings will lead to some unexpected events.

She is a brillant surgeon, she owns a hospital in Zurich and won a Harper Avery award. He lives in Seattle, he made a new life with someone great and he's getting married. But they both lost the love of their lives. But one day, she has to perform a surgery in the hospital where it all began. What will happen when Cristina Yang and Owen Hunt see each other for the first time in two years ?

Major Owen Hunt's life completely revolved around his job. He had been on three tours in Afghanistan, a trauma surgeon. She was the same way, hell bent on becoming the best Cardiothoracic surgeon in the world, with a few Harper Avery awards to follow suit. On the way to his forth, one thing led to another and he ended up in her care. She was a spitfire, much like himself. She changed his life, even only knowing her for a few hours. He had to come back to her, he had to survive just one more tour before he could find her, and maybe, just maybe, love her.

A crowen fic, takes place a month or so after the shooting. Cristina is trying to deal with her PTSD and Owen is trying his best to be there for her. But how will they react to some unexpected news...
