I couldn't find a single story like this for Skyrim, so I decided I'd be the first to write one! Witness as your beloved virtual NPCs raise you as their own! I will primarily write the reader's pronouns as she/her, but if you'd like you may request a one-shot or scenario specifically with other pronouns.* This is a book I'll work on in my spare time for fun, or just whenever I don't have ideas for my main Skyrim book. Brynjolf does turn up, just give it time.

They say the ones who seek power shouldn't be trusted with it. "I've never been one to lead. Never desired it, never cared for it. Don't want it." Perhaps Brynjolf was hinting at a deeper fear when I asked him why he couldn't be the guild master. At the time, his response seemed ordinary: some simply do not desire the will to power, never cared for the drudgery that comes with it. I began to wonder: why was it that such a man-with all of his business sense, experience, and compassion-how could this man turn his nose up at steering the ship when he could do it so well?

Arsha is a thief, always has been and always will be, but once she was something more. She's gone to Riften to try and start a new life for herself, but she may get more than she bargained for. Embroiled in a crazy twist of fate and drawn to the man who recruited her, will she survive, or will Arsha fall so far that she can never climb back up?
