This a story about Ashlyn and her bestfriend Chase. Summer is over and now school is back in session and Ashlyn has not seen Chase all summer. Now on the first day back to school he shows up and he has changed, he looks and acts different and most of all he wants Ashlyn!

Her mother is an alcoholic, her job sucks, her world is complicated, but that doesn't deter Rosalie Jean from her dreams of living a normal life. Unfortunately, she's about to discover that normal isn't who she is. With a stubborn attitude and a strong personality her ideals of a simple world are thrown into chaos when she is faced with the creatures she had only ever read about in books - vampires.

Zaylie is throwing out the trash when a mysterious vampire bites her and claims her as his bride. He later returns expressing his love for her, all of which Zaylie thinks is bullcrap and hates Vixen for biting her .Her life ends up becoming weirder and more hectic as she discovers the people closest to her are not who they seem and she might not be as normal as she thinks. Worst of all, it seems the psychotic vampire is the only one who was honest with her.
