Nerwen is no ordinary daughter of the Eldar. Touched by the blood of the ancient ones and gifted with elemental magic long forgotten, she is summoned to the Greenwood on the eve of war. Sent by Galadriel, bound by purpose, and haunted by a past of loss and silence, Nerwen carries a power the Enemy has already begun to hunt. There she meets Thranduil-king of starlight and ice, carved by grief, crowned in thorns of pride. What begins as wary distance deepens into something neither can name. As the darkness spreads from Dol Guldur and the dwarves of Erebor awaken a fire beneath the mountain, fate draws them closer, even as old wounds threaten to tear them apart. From the shadowed halls of Mirkwood to the burning skies over Dale, Echoes in the Greenwood weaves a tale of war, sacrifice, and slow-burning love. It is the story of a warrior who carries too much, a king who dares to hope again, and a bond powerful enough to bend even the will of the Valar. And when all light seems lost... the Greenwood sings her name. All of the original characters from Tolkien are not mine. All of the others are of my own creative power.

The youngest of Lord Elrond's children has always been different from her siblings. A part of her seemed to be locked away, waiting for the right moment to burst forth. Despite this, she was loved, she was treasured and she was protected... until she wasn't. The day she unlocked her true self is a day that haunts her. Instead of the assured protection of her family, she became the protector. That day lingers. It scars. The traumatic event not only affected her but her family. As time moves forward the scar remains, not loudly or visible but it remains. Until an event occurs and that nightmare was said to slink back into darkness, providing a semblance of peace. A small fire, a source of heat for her but a beacon for unsavoury characters. That is all took for the nightmare to come back. That once locked part now pulsates. A warning perhaps or a sign of evolving. She seeks out a wizard for her answers and instead she leaves with more questions and uncertainties. She offers her help when asked, a small thing for a dear friend... Oh how she regrets that. Dwarves! Dragons! Wargs! She did not agree with this. She did not agree with it at all! Amongst, verbally combating with dwarves, playing therapist to an emotionally compromised hobbit, refraining from pushing an annoyingly vague wizard; she finds the past does not remain there. When a cataclysmic battle on the island of Themyscira sends Diana, the Amazonian princess known as Wonder Woman, tumbling through a rift in time and space, she finds herself in the heart of Middle-earth-decades before the War of the Ring. Lost, but undeterred, Diana must navigate this strange new world and join an unlikely group of adventurers: Bilbo Baggins, the reluctant hobbit; Thorin Oakenshield, the proud dwarf prince; and Gandalf the Grey, the wise and enigmatic wizard. Together, they embark on a perilous quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the fearsome dragon Smaug. As Diana battles fierce creatures, navigates political strife, and faces the darkness within herself, she becomes an unexpected beacon of hope and wisdom for those around her. Her strength and compassion challenge the hardened hearts of those who accompany her, especially Thorin, whose obsession with reclaiming his kingdom leads him down a dangerous path. Diana's lessons of mercy and honor become a catalyst for change, not just for the dwarves, but for the very soul of Middle-earth. Through battles, betrayals, and moments of self-discovery, Diana must decide where her true place lies-between the worlds of Themyscira and Middle-earth, or somewhere in between. As the shadow of the dragon grows and the Battle of the Five Armies looms, Diana will face the ultimate test of her strength, not as a warrior, but as a protector. Wonder of the West is an epic tale of heroism, redemption, and the timeless power of compassion, set against the backdrop of one of fantasy's most beloved worlds. With a heart forged in the fires of war, Diana will find that sometimes, the greatest battles are fought not with strength, but with the courage to choose peace.
