Taking the perspective of an unreliable narrator we soon get clues that not everything is as it seems. With so many unreliable characters and with the line between reality and fantasy becoming more vague, we only have one question on our mind: What truly did occur?

Gerard is the king of dominance, but Marcy is the queen of defiance. Can Gerard change that about her? At least to where she'll obey him and only him? Maybe Gerard can bring the light back behind her eyes. After all, anything can happen on the desolation row.
