In a dystopian world, Meridian struggles to find her brother during a week-long killing event called the Massacre. Along the way, struggles to understand her feelings and the feelings that a boy shares for her. Never having felt real emotions, she realizes how dangerous that can be when she makes all the wrong choices and falls victim to the enemy.
