Imagine being 7 years old being told that since the day you were born that your father is a hardworking business man who puts his " business " before his family . That's all Mya Heart heard from her mother . Growing up without a father physically and mentally took a toll on her . As she aged she grew to not care for her father and always looked to her mother for moral support . If it was for monthly duties , school work , extracurricular activities , or even boys her mom was always there . On the other side of town known as the " West Side " in Gifford , Florida lived a troubled teen since birth named Ahmaad Demons . Ahmaad was what you would call a hot head getting into multiple fights a days , suspended from school , breaking and entering you name it that's what he did . Growing up in a single parent house hold took a toll on Ahmaad . Although , he tried to do right by his mom and go to school everyday the streets and his " boys " called his name. Growing up without a father left Ahmaad without knowing how to do manly things in which some his mother couldn't show him . One day at a local party Mya and Ahmaad cross paths and their lives change drastically read to find out more .
