Tapalla walked to her father's office every day with the usual hike to her hideout before or afterward. This was where she and Monta connected, though she never told him the secrets of her past. Would he trust her again? When assassins came for her, it was finally time for her to tell him the truth. Ophryn didn't want her to die. That's why he snuck into their territory and purposely got himself captured. Ophryn didn't want his father to kill his planet's only princess, Mell. Even though their countries were bitter rivals, the death of a young girl shouldn't take place in the war. Sure, people knew Opa was there but they didn't know the kind of people its black interior held and powers his people wanted to exploit. Secrets were hidden and stories needed to be told. Assassins were coming and he needed to warn them. Evangelene felt young compared to the people that surrounded her and the newcomers from Gazar that seemed to enjoy her company. Only when they had to travel to one of Ablatin's countries, Wren, is when things started to out of whack. Back in her own country, there is a message warning of assassins that no one is taking literally.
