Amethyst Adams has been away for a while but when her pseudo father, Fred Andrews, gets shot in Pops' Diner, there's no better time to come back. Walking into the hospital with her Serpents' jacket and a Take No Shit attitude, she doesn't care about how many Northside heads she turns as long as she can protect her own. AKA my "Riverdale denied me a Hard of Hearing/Ace character so I guess I have to do everything myself" spite fic, basically rewriting Riverdale from S02E01 onwards with more Southside, less bullshit, and actual character development (currently sticking with all the canon ships and general plotlines just not at the expense of decent storytelling)

Wynn Tate went into Pop's to start her shift like any normal day and ended her shift forced to accept that the rose-colored haze over Riverdale had been ripped away for good. The shooting of Fred Andrews isn't the only thing from that dark day that haunts Wynn. She always wanted to dig into the history of Riverdale, that's what her podcast is for, but with the Black Hood on the loose she soon finds she may uncover something she and the rest of the town isn't ready for. The middle Cooper sister, Stevie, had never paid much attention to whatever drama was going on in Riverdale, or even in her family. Her life was "eat, sleep, breathe, gymnastics," and she wasn't going to waste her energy focusing on anything other than getting to the Olympics. Besides, she hadn't lived in Riverdale since she was ten, when she moved to New York to live and train with the best of the best. She knew some things, of course, like that Polly had been dating Jason Blossom, that Betty had been in love with Archie Andrews since she was eight, and that her parents were both just as terrible, self-righteous, and controlling as they'd been when she'd left, but that was pretty much it. But when a broken wrist takes her out of gymnastics for at least a few months, Stevie finds herself having to trade her gymnastics-oriented boarding school for Riverdale High. She was far from excited, but she told herself that she could handle it - after all, she was Stevie Fucking Cooper, National Team Captain and national gymnastics champion, not the quiet ten year old who'd last lived there. But with Polly gone, her parents acting more suspicious than ever, and Jason Blossom's body turning up with a bullet hole in the skull, she realizes that she may be in over her head.

If the Keller twins could explain one thing, just one thing, to the people of Riverdale, it would be that they were exhausted. With their father as Sheriff, it always seemed like they were held to a higher standard than the rest of the town. Lieutenant of the cheer squad and the best wrestler in his weight class; student body vice president and social coordinator; Model UN Secretary General and Chargé D'Affairs; 4.0 GPAs; and a secret to take to the grave.
