When Zayn gets dragged along to a gaming store by the rest of One Direction, he didn't think he'd find the perfect girl. Heck, he thought he'd only see a bunch of stereotypical nerds. But in the midst of a chess match, he stumbles across that perfect girl. He didnt even get her number...she slips right through his fingers. At least, until he bumps into her again. (WARNING: short chapters because I originally wrote this for Instagram, And cuz I'm just a lazy person xP)

Rose Compton is an innocent eight year old girl, dying from cancer. After a year of numerous treatments and pleas to recovery they've declared her battle with cancer lost and she should expect for her time to pass to come soon. This is a short story I had to write for school. The assignment was to write between 500-1500 words on a scene of a child's death and to make it fairly light hearted and not gory. Vote and comment if you like it:)

It was pity that first made Dannie speak to him. She had known Ryan since she was a kid, but he had always been the popular Golden Boy, and she had always been the tomboy that didn’t mind not having any friends. It was odd, she had thought, that all the popular kids who had once kissed the ground he walked on, didn’t so much spared him a glance anymore, and it was this that made her sit with him that one faithful day and begin something that would only end up causing her pain.
