Eighteen-year-old Kara is in her first semester of college at Syracuse University. As a film major, she has big dreams of moving to Chicago, Los Angeles, or Atlanta and making it big in the industry post-graduation; but, being kidnapped and turned into a fire-breathing Mini Dragon wasn't exactly a part of those plans for her future. Being unwillingly turned into a cat-sized dragon after a fun night out almost certainly wasn't a part of her plan, and an alien invasion out of the blue further complicates things. Will Kara- now a Dragonet without a mind voice- be able to make it in this new world? Inspired by Upon Wings of Change by Crystal Scherer.

What if the dragonets escaped before the alien invasion? For over a year scientists have been kidnapping and transforming people into small winged creatures called dragonets. The scientists keep them caged in a lab with not a glimpse of the outside world, unaware that the dragonets retain their human minds and memories. Fear of the scientists dulls most hope for escape, but as new dragonets hatch at a steadily increasing rate and changes are made to the program, pressure rises to make a decision, until they must either choose to escape or doom themselves and all those who come after. [this is simply a fanfiction of the story Upon Wings Of Change by Crystal Scherer. alice's girlfriend was kidnapped on the sixteenth of december last year. now, alice has a job looking after genetically modified creatures nicknamed 'dragonets.' she wasn't directly told anything, but so far she's gathered that these creatures were once humans and that they were experiments done by scientists using alien technology. however, nothing is as it seems...and the world is about to end. [lowercase intended. this is based on Crystal Scherer's book 'Upon Wings of Change.' the universe and concepts belong to her, characters and some of the plot are mine.]

Until after an accident, when she's left on death's door and, once again, is kidnapped. Don't people know it's rude to take someone without their consent? Sneak Peek: I hiss at the man who's holding me as he stretches my wing and immediately throw my claws into his arm. He's put me in just the right position to be able to slash at his inner arm. I grin ferally and watch as the man yelps in pain, blood trickling out of the deep claw marks on his arm. The scientist looks at me in surprise. "Specimen D5844 has succeeded in getting a hit on the lab assistant and seems proud of herself. Her intelligence should be monitored, in case there is more than meets the eye." I hiss at the scientist and dig my claws deeper into the lab assistant's angry red skin. He quickly drops me, letting the air flow past me and beat into my scales as I fall. I swiftly start to panic. I hadn't thought this far ahead yet.

Crystal Kunz, the only human with wings in the entire world, was flying home when she is shot with a tranquilizer dart, causing her to crash land. When she becomes clearly aware of herself again, she's still different from everybody else, and it causes her to become under more scrutiny then she would've liked. ~~~¥~~~ ~This is a fanfiction based off of @CrystalScherer's work Upon Wings of Change. I felt rage at the man, I glowed even brighter, I felt hotter.
