Pink Petal is set before and during the events of Avatar, unfolding in the shadowed spaces the film never shows.
Deep within Pandora once bloomed the Pink Vale, home to the Tìrawey clan - a Na'vi people whose bond with Eywa ran through emotion, memory, and living beauty rather than war. Their rose-lit forest was erased by the Sky People in a single, quiet act of devastation. All but one were lost.
(Y/n), the last bloom of the Tìrawey, survives in captivity beneath human hands, studied, monitored, and claimed in different ways by those who fear her and those who desire her. To the RDA, she is a living resource. To Quaritch, she becomes an obsession masked as protection. To the forest, she is a wound that still breathes.
When Jake Sully arrives on Pandora, he is drawn into a web already tightening. In his human body, he frightens her. In his avatar, she senses the lie beneath his borrowed skin. As he learns the ways of the Omatikaya under Neytiri's guidance, he is pulled between two truths: the future Neytiri represents, fierce and alive, and the past (Y/n) carries, fragile and sacred. His need to protect her grows darker the more the world tries to take her.
Unbeknownst to the humans, the Omatikaya are searching. Neytiri and (Y/n) were once children of neighboring forests, bound by shared songs and lost summers. When Neytiri discovers the truth - that her friend lives, caged by Sky People - devotion turns ruthless. Tsu'tey follows, seeing in (Y/n) both a symbol of genocide and a reason for war.
As Hometree's fate looms and Pandora braces itself, (Y/n) stands at the center of converging obsessions - human, Na'vi, spiritual, and violent. Everyone believes they are her protector. No one agrees on what saving her truly means.
And the Pink Vale, long silent, waits to bloom again.
