When the gang discovers that a dance competition is being held in their city, they don't think much about it until they discover the winning prize to be a Chaos Emerald. Sonic is determined to win, but he needs a dance partner. Tails and Cream are too young, Amy would just hang onto him, Rouge would probably just steal the emerald, getting them all in trouble, and Knuckles has two left feet. That only leaves Shadow as Sonic's last hope, who reluctantly agrees. What the two hedgehogs didn't plan on though, was for the competition to bring them closer together.
