Alvy Valdez and Dennise Santos were best friends but were separated due to painful circumstances. Dennise enters a relationship with Victor Galang, Alvy's best buddy, which deeply aggrieved Alvy who has feelings for Dennise, his first love, since their high school days. Alvy then leaves the country to study abroad, move on, and to forget his feelings for Dennise. Things start to get dramatic when Victor turns out to be severely ill and dies a year after Alvy's departure. After how many years, Alvy comes back in the country, having worked in Korea, with a new identity as Doctor Ly Seung Park. He meets Dennise again in the Philippine Medical Center's Emergency Department where both will be working at. Dennise is now a resident doctor, while Alvy is a successful surgeon despite his early age. Alvy does not reveal his identity, feeling guilty of leaving Dennise for eight years without any formal goodbyes and and with his thought of Dennise still loving Victor. But, with the unfolding of the secrets of the past, will both be able to find where they truly belong: in each others arms? And will they both be able to face the challenges that they are bound to face?
