He's made peace with that, used Spider-Man as an outlet for the hunger and bruises. But then Tony Stark shows up, dressed in an expensive suit and carrying an internship opportunity. Peter can balance that on top of everything. He can keep a secret, he knows he can. And keeping this from Tony Stark won't be much different. Won't it?

Now, almost 10 years later Peter is given the chance to finally speak, but will he take it? Or is the fear of his Aunt to much for him to take that chance? Either way, Tony Stark can tell something's not quite right about the "kind hearted" May Parker. (Don't get me wrong I love Aunt May! But I always wondered what if we put a little darkness in the character? That's where this AU was born. The Avengers accidentally step onto Spider-Man's turf when they try to take on the Sinister 6. Spidey steps in but ends up getting injured in the process. As a thank you the Avengers insist that he come back to the tower to be treated. But what will they learn about him while he's there? (I don't own cover)

Peter Parker’s day had been going excellently. He was finally starting to move past Gwen’s death and was applying himself in his schoolwork again, trying for a full ride to Empire State University.
