The protagonist follows a group of survivors through a quantum gate, after some navigational system checks it appears that not only have they traveled outside the star system they were on... but into a completely new universe. What's more the vile creatures that crossed the gateway have turned into a bunch of humanoid female beings, and are capable of communication!?
