Book 5 of the Jackson Series! Marcella is struggling to break free from all she has ever known. Brought up in a world where she's been caged in with rules, violence and pain she longs for a better life full of freedom. But when you're in a gang escaping the life of crime is easier said than done. Deciding to let go of her inhibitions to spend an unforgettable night with a stranger it all comes crashing down when she's assigned to kill the man she can't seem to forget. *** It doesn't take me long to find Judah. He looks like poison hiding behind a pretty face, seducing you to give in before he drags you to hell for sinning. I try and think of how I can lead him away without raising suspicion. But I don't end up having to do much because Judah soon blocks my way. "Why are you hiding from me little dove?" "I'm not." I whisper back. "How about we finish what we started that day?" I blush at the memories but quickly realize this is the best excuse to get him out of the spotlight. He takes my hand before we leave through the door and check a few rooms only to figure out that they're all locked. "The rooftop's door is open." As soon as he takes the first step I trip him but he finds his footing before swinging at my ribs. What I didn't expect was for him to pounce on me and pull my dagger out of my holster before stabbing my leg. Kicking his shin with my good leg I manage to flip us over. He's just about to throw me off when I land an uppercut to his jaw. I take out my gun to end this but just as I pull the trigger I'm grabbed. "No!" I struggle as I'm tied up before they check Judah. The wound clearly missed and isn't at all fatal. I watch as he sits up with a pained groan before his eyes meet mine. "I think I'm in love." He states breathlessly with a handsome grin. Flicker never wanted a mate, especially an alpha one. She strongly believes that with an alpha mate, she would lose all her freedom and independence, two things that she values most . What will happen, when the two controlling and dominant alpha's arrive at Flicker's pack; claiming that she is their mate. "As Luna, will I be equal to you"; I question, unsure at this moment if I was overstepping my boundaries. The car is silent for a moment before they both snort with laughter, but the laughter quickly dies and the Alpha's become deathly serious. "You will never be equal to us, you are higher than the pack wolf and slightly higher than our beta but you will never have equal power than us"Connor states arrogantly as if it's the most obvious thing in the world "We will decide when to mark you and then we will decide when you will have our pups and rest assured you will have many pups"Jake says his tone deathly serious as if he is daring me to question him. Warning: Contains abuse and confronting scenes not for younger readers.

Once, we were certain we could drive the Roman Invaders from the land. Now, more and more of our kin in the South lay down their spears and kneel to foreign rule. I never thought we would fall too; not with the strength of our warriors, our intimate knowledge of the land, and tactics that had driven the invaders back time and time again. Yet, it seems I know nothing at all. When the chief of my tribe seeks to strike a truce with the invaders, everything changes. At a time when I should be learning from the elders of our tribe, or how to rule from my father, my hand itches to pick up a weapon instead. Yet the steel-eyed General who leads the soldiers camping outside our walls feels familiar to me in a way I can't explain, and for a man raised in Rome, he has a fire in him that I've only seen in my people. But talks of peace are threatened when a power that's lain dormant for decades is woken. . . . . .for our paths have crossed before.

{Featured Story!} #1 in Supernatural #48 in Romance #5 in Historical Fiction "They say at night, the howls of wolves echo across the land, and in the morning farmers find their animals missing or slaughtered. Keep your wits about you, my dearest friend. Beware of the wolves." 1561 Alba - Scotland Màili is the only child of Catholic Lord, Seumas MacDhòmhnaill, and his wife Màiri. Most of her life has been spent hidden away in the Scottish countryside to keep her away from the rumours rife at court since her Mother's death. Màili knows one wrong move could bring those rumours at her feet too. Cries of witchcraft and gossip about her father's dwindling funds, means Màili's future remains uncertain. Close to destitute, her dowry gone, her only chance - in the eyes of her father at least - comes in the form of an unexpected marriage match from a family willing to pay handsomely for Màili's hand. It's an offer her father dare not refuse. Quickly married to a man she doesn't know, Torian Lyall flouts Màili's every belief in what is expected from her as a wife. Nor do he or his family seem overly interested in following Catholic tradition. Trapped amongst people so different from her, speaking a language she barely remembers from childhood, she's whisked away to her new home farther North than she's travelled before. The wild and mountain filled Highlands are a beautiful place; where purple heather and thick forests covers the land, and mighty sea winds batter the waves against ancient rock. Myth and mystery swirl as thick as the grey mists in the glens, where creatures from old stories are said still to roam. And the Lyall family have secrets of their own. Secrets that might involve her in some way. Secrets that make Màili hold her friend's advice closer than she thought she'd need to... Beware of the wolves. . .
