Newt was never immune. We all know that. But what if he survived the Flare through a different way? What if he didn't die from the stab? What if the Safe Haven wasn't as good as the immunes thought it would be? And what if Thomas wanted to leave because of the bad situation and got let down by a person he thought he could trust? So this story had happened after the death cure so everything was happy and what not they were on their beach and stuff and so newt is alive!
