Cas, Dean, and Sam have been hunting together and splitting off to take smaller jobs. The story starts with the three of them on three separate hunts. Cas is human and wounded. He shows up at Dean's motel in need of help. What proceeds is the two of them meeting up with Sam and going on an involved hunt, over the course of which Dean and Cas slowly figure out their feelings for each other. Lots of awkwardness (in a good way), some mild angst, comfort, and eventually fluff and smut.

Dean and Sam move again, new school, new house and two vampire nests nearby. The usual. But Dean's world changes when he saves a boy with blue eyes and a trench coat. Will they be brave enough to tell each other their feelings? Cas knows beyond a reasonable doubt that Dean Winchester has feelings for him. He also knew that it wasn’t any old school boy crush on him either. Cas was sure that Dean was absolutely head-over-heels in love with him, but he was far too chicken to admit it. After many months of trying to get to Dean to make any sort of move on him, Cas becomes angry and goes to Sam for help. Cas discovers that Sam’s idea, which is a crazy unbelievable idea, might actually work. After all, Sam knew Dean better than anyone else in the entire world.

Meet Castiel Novak, he was an average 23 year old guy. An artist who struggled with money and worked part time at a bar. His life was pretty regular he had parents and friends and a job and payed taxes and that whole apple pie lifestyle. Besides the fact that all his siblings were in prison. His last name was known everywhere. And they all attended the same prison, it was basically named after them since he had so many adopted brothers and sisters. They should have called it Novak prison instead of Lawrence County Prison. He was constantly expected by everyone to slip up and end up in the prison with his family. Meet Dean Winchester, he was a 24 year old criminal. He basically ruled the Lawrence County Prison where all the Novak's were. Dean had cursed his family name as well making it hard for his little brother Sam to live his life but he got by. Their mom was dead and their dad was a wanted criminal. Everyone is scared of Dean and thinks he is some murderous badass when he really just wants to protect his baby brother. Castiel somehow wounds up in the prison like everyone expected. He decides he will just lay low until his time is up and pay for what he did. Sounds easy right? But what happens when his sassy, fearless attitude gets the best of him and he disrespects the worst possible person to do it to. The angels have fallen. Castiel lost his grace, and is now a human. He experiences hunger, cold, need, but still pondered at the thought of love. Dean takes him under his wing and helps him understand his new way of life; every aspect. Even though his grace is lost, the affair between a man and an angel is forbidden. Not to mention, an angel and a Winchester. In addition to the internal conflicts between the two, they also have to worry about the bounty put on Castiel's head by the other fallen angels.

In this AU, almost everything is the same as in the show. EXCEPT Dean can see Castiel's wings. Yep. That's the only major difference. Castiel is an angel. Dean is a human. Being an angel, Castiel has wings. Nobody can see his wings, save Dean. Dean thinks that everybody can see Castiel's wings, and Castiel doesn't know that Dean can see them. Does that mean anything?
