If you've read The Mischievous Mrs. Maxfield, you know who Brandon Maxfield is. He's only my readers' favorite book-husband ever. *wink* If you've read his little journal note about the honeymoon and swooned, then you might like this. We've been in Charlotte's head throughout the whole epic ride of her life, glimpsing the mind and heart of the prince who swept this not-so-proper princess off her feet. If you want to see more of what went through Brandon's mind, read on. See what it's like from this side of the fairy tale... ***PLEASE DO NOT READ THIS IF YOU HAVE NOT FINISHED The Mischievous Mrs. Maxfield.*** Author's Note: These are not duplicates of scenes that have been depicted in The Mischievous Mrs. Maxfield told from Brandon's POV. This book is going to consist of Brandon's journal entries as he goes through the similar experiences as Charlotte so it's not going to read like actual scenes in a book. [BxB] Waking up next to someone after having a little too much to drink was no new, riveting story in this day and age. Waking up next to another boy, when you were also a boy, was a little more interesting, but still nothing to write home about. But waking up in Nico Beckett's sheets? To Wesley, it was a nightmare come to life. ~~~ Wesley Dillon's life was uneventful, and frankly, he liked it that way. He didn't get into trouble, he kept his grades up, he played it safe. He never did anything to rock the boat he was floating in, the calm waters of his lake left undisturbed. Now starting his last year in high school, Wes was content to continue living his life as he always has - but sometimes, and only sometimes, he caught himself wishing that something could make ripples in his tiny world. What he wasn't ready for were the waves that were Nico Beckett - a troublemaker, womaniser, and an incredibly popular boy at his school. He was everything Wes was not. Nico was the type of guy that Wes never wanted to associate with, but after waking up in his arms with panic in his chest and pains everywhere else, he realised that his life was going to get much, much more complicated. It took him everything to try not to drown as the waves pulled him further and further down. But, somewhere along the way, he wasn't sure that drowning was actually a bad thing. ~~~ #1 in romance (29/09/19) #1 in LGBT (07/09/2019) #1 in bxb (07/09/2019) #1 in boyxboy (08/09/2019) #1 in gay (11/09/2019) #1 in highschool (29/09/19) #1 in school (17/10/19) #1 in comingofage (01/10/19) #1 in slowburn (02/10/19) #1 in BL (04/10/19) #1 in lovetriangle (05/10/19) #1 in family (31/10/19) #1 in comingoutofthecloset (08/01/20) #1 in writtenwithpride (19/06/21) #4 in love (07/03/21)

For the first time in a looooong while, Lacy reconsiders her vow. Because sexy Chase Kelly, wounded soul that he may be, would be an oh-so-delicious way of breaking her fast. Now, if she can just keep them both alive and him out of jail....

(The Triumvirate Histories Book Four) What does the world think when a girl who'd been dead for three months turns up at the site of a huge CIA raid, which ended up with an explosion and four deaths? That she might have been in a stickier situation before than they'd known. What did they think would happen when she had a major panic attack after she realized that everything about her was gone, locked away in her mind? Well, obviously what did happen...or else they wouldn't have been prepared to knock her out again with morphine. And just who would that girl be? Me, Emmy Alexander...at least, that's who they told me I was. You know the stories of people with amnesia after a traumatic accident. They don't remember weeks, months, or maybe even a few years of their lives. I'd call them lucky, because they at least had a foundation to build on. Me? I couldn't remember a thing when I'd woken up after they'd knocked me out after my panic attack. I couldn't remember me, my family, my best friend, how I'd gotten the burns and cuts that now marred my body... I couldn't remember whose green eyes haunted my dreams every single night. My therapist said that my memories might come back in my dreams, when my subconscious mind was free to be revealed. And so far, she'd been right. Parts of my life were slowly coming back to me - my father's laugh, my mother's smile, my brother Jason's and best friend Drake's annoying overprotectiveness. But there were others that I couldn't explain - a tale of secret societies, puzzle keys, bronze boxes, and break-ins to museums and government buildings around the world. It wasn't until I saw those eyes on a man, who seemed so familiar that it made my heart ache, from across a gallery in the Louvre. A man who introduced himself as John Raymond. And it didn't take me very long to realize that maybe, just maybe, he was the key to everything.

***The wrong girl is sometimes The Right One.*** Charlotte Samuels thought she'd be stuck waiting tables at Marlow's until all her debts are paid off-in about ten thousand years or so. She definitely didn't expect a marriage proposal from the arrogant Brandon Maxfield who was blackmailed by his father to make her his wife if he didn't want his least favorite cousin to run Maxfield Industries. Charlotte's instinct was to say HELL NO! but she's stumped by a few obstacles: 1.) His old man Martin Maxfield is dear to her heart and has been recently deteriorating in health. 2.) She gets a million dollars if she stays married to Brandon for a year. 3.) She would rather like the opportunity to teach the attractive but awfully rude man a few lessons he didn't think he needed from a 'teenage gold-digger' which was his term of endearment for her on their first date-er, business meeting. So what's a girl got to do, right? Sure, she's young and a little rough around the edges but there's something her would-be husband didn't know about her yet-she's nothing like he ever expected. Thrust into the glitzy world a standard-issue Mrs. Maxfield would fit perfectly and rule with impeccable social grace, Charlotte will either have to force herself into the mold or break free of it, risking what little she has left for everything that she can gain. *** Copyright © 2014 by Nina Tippett.
