Astrid was conceived in Hell. However, due to her innocence as a baby, she was cast out. Her mother is Hela, goddess of death; daughter of Odin. A traveler found Astrid and brought her back to the city of Asgard where they planned to take her in as one of their own. The plan was foiled as she revealed magic far beyond what is capable of common folk. She was captured by guards and brought before Odin the all father who immediately knew what had happened. He couldn't bear the truth of her existence as Hela's daughter and instead banished her to Midgard in fear of her turning out like his daughter. In Midgard, she was discovered and placed in an orphanage where she spent 3 years of her life. One day, she realized her magic for herself and learned only the slightest of its real power. She was found conjuring ice and in shock, the orphanage told authorities. They took her away where she was tested on in government facilities. They were hopeless when it came to studying her magic and came out with little results. S.H.I.E.L.D learned of her existence and took her out of the government's hands. She lived a tough life and had no friends. Her life was constantly a chore of getting up and being able to walk a few feet before the length of her cell stopped. She, nor anyone else had a clue of her birth parents and the royal Asgardian blood flowing through her. She believed she was extremely cursed with powers that had more purpose than her. She was tested on day in, and day out. It was finally at the age of 14 when Nick Fury paid her a visit that would change the whole course of her life. The story takes place 2 months before age of Ultron. "We all wear masks, and the time comes when we cannot remove them without removing some of our own skin." - André Berthiaume. Unfortunately, when the Invisible Hand calls himself a super villain, he means it. He is totally, irrevocably, 100% evil. Even though he does stupid things to get a girl to laugh... Even though he took her to Iceland to see the Northern Lights... Even though he saved her life not once, but twice... He still dropped her off the Chrysler Building and left her to die. That girl was me.
