Just a little fan fiction about Newt and Thomas having a fling, having feelings for each other, and Minho getting hurt and entering the Maze at night. The character personality might be a bit different, but not on purpose. This is the first fanfic I'm pretty serious about, so sorry if it's a bit...juvenile. There will be mature scenes, so here's your warning. Enjoy.

When sentenced to death, Thomas is brought up to face King Newt. King Newt is usually harsh on peasants who are sentenced to death for their crimes, may show a side of him no one has ever seen before.

Newt has a snobby, rich family that never leaves him alone about his love life. It's not that he doesn't have one- oh he does. His family is just full of homophobic assholes, aside from his lovely mother, of course. The idea of being bothered by his family because of his lack of a love life drives him to lie about having a girlfriend. Who else's better to play the part than Teresa?

Thomas knows he is gay, and has known for a while, but he has the fear of rejection. Meeting Newton changed that. Thomas feels a deep connection with this Newton boy, but doesn't know if he will ever feel the same.

Newt is alone in the world, or at least he thinks he is, until he befriends Thomas. They become friends and before long, more. But Thomas is hiding a secret, and Newt what's to know what it is, and why.
