Civilization has parted into two groups. The Speros; whom believe in hope for the Beamers, and try saving them. There are also the Immities, who do not believe in any hope for the Beamers. They live to protect their kind. They live to kill the Starry-Eyed. Sid- a sixteen year-old Immity, who lives to protect himself and his family, Lyra- a sixteen year-old Starry-Eyed who lives in a lie.
