One thing leads to another until she is standing in her cottage, her dead father in her arms, and Grey Hatcher, the leader of an infamous league of criminals, to blame. Vowing to revenge her father, she teams up with Ash, who claims to be a shapeshifter and also shares her hatred with Grey. Only there is one problem. Piper suspects that Ash's history with Grey is a lot more complex than he lets on. Worried that his feelings might destroy the trap they had been working on for their enemy, she must make a decision to abandon her companion or trust him and stick to his side. To make matters worse, she finds herself on the brink of uncovering secrets that might change her whole life. But does she really want to cross that line, to perhaps discover that her whole life was a lie?
