In the midst of a tragic home life, a girl learns she has special abilities that perhaps would make others deem her a mutant. She's kicked off to some freak school, and just when she thinks her life is about an inch from crumbling down on top of her, she meets someone. A boy. Nightcrawler, they call him. If there really was love at first sight, then that was what they had. Little did they know, this would turn out to be more than a back-to-school fling. note» this story is set in present day but with the young mutants as displayed in apocalypse, who inspired my writing. also, I obviously do not own the x men as I've seen so many carefully make sure to make known

This is a short little songfic I thought up a few days ago on a road trip and got down to writing as soon as I got home. This is the story of a girl, a mutant, who's always been treated like a freak- but then she meets a boy, also a mutant, who's lived the same story and who brings her to a home, a safe place. They quickly become best friends, inseparable, and this is their promise of everlasting friendship to one another. Also a little bit of romance at the end, because I just couldn't resist. When Charles sends the X-men out to find a new mutant that he has located, they go to the place he's allocated. They find this mutant who isn't all too willing to go at first. They finally manage to bring her back to the school, they decide to allocate someone to show her around. Kurt volunteers to do this and Charles agrees. But there is someone lurking in the shadows wanting something that is unbeknownst to the X-men. Who is this mysterious person and what does he have to do with the new mutant that they found?

Meet Layla. She seems like a normal human being, but she really isn't. In fact, she isn't even from Earth! She's from the moon. Although, Layla doesn't know that. She grew up in a orphanage in New York. One day, she started school at Bayville High and meets a group of intresting people. She grows close to them and soon becomes very good friends with them, maybe even more than friends with one of them. On top of that, Layla notice that she's been able to control darkness. Is it a gift or curse? Will they tell Layla that there mutant, will they found out that she is a mutant? Will she stay friends with them? Or even join the X-men?!
