WATTPAD ORIGINAL EDITION In 1955, mixed-race Ethan Harper leaves his progressive hometown for a summer in Alabama where he's not welcome, except by resident free spirit, Juniper Jones. ***** After getting himself into a bout of trouble, 16-year-old Ethan Harper's parents send him to Ellison, Alabama, to live with his aunt and uncle for the summer. But the year is 1955, and Alabama is a far cry from his beloved home of Arcadia, Washington. As much as it's hotter in temperature, it's colder in every other way, and Ethan learns the hard way that people see his mere existence as a threat. Amidst all the mayhem, a fiery, free-spirited, oddball walks into Ethan's life. Her name is Juniper Jones. She is the first person in Ellison who seems unfazed by their racial differences, and she promises to give Ethan a summer he will always remember, filled with endless adventure and discovery. With Juniper, Ethan can breathe, he can be, despite the incessant attention and bullying their newly formed friendship attracts. Can the two survive the summer, run in the light and block out the noise of the outside world? [Published version comes out June 16, 2020 with Wattpad Books!] [[word count: 70,000-80,000 words]]

**CURRENTLY WORKING ON AN EDIT OF THIS*** Ziva Ner is a mutant trying to live her life under the radar, but her simple life is ruined when she's hauled off to Xavier's School for Gifted Children. It takes her only moments to figure out her fellow students are a bit off the wall. Before she knows it, she and her new friends are pulled into a fight against an evil plot that may or may not succeed. All of it depends on how stupid evil is on that particular day. Thanks to @lantea- (Holly) for the cover! Thanks to the @SupahBadCommunity for the 1st place win in their contest ***I have never read the X-Men comics; most of my knowledge of the X-Men universe is based on the movies. Character descriptions vary because the actors don't look exactly like their comic book counterparts, and things were changed for the cinematic universe. This fan fiction is nowhere near canon. All respect to Marvel and their ownership of the X-Men characters. I wrote this for fun, and it's meant to be a humorous adventure.

Growing up can be hard, especially if you're doing it all by yourself while living miles away from your friends and family. But things get even harder when you discover that you're not exactly who you think you are. Suddenly everything changes... and you're forced to make decisions you never thought you'd ever have to make. But... maybe it's not so bad. Luckily for you, you have people watching - people who want to protect you. And then there are others. Unfortunately for Vinnie Wynters, these decisions... and these people... will majorly affect her entire life. ...As if her new acquired abilities didn't already do that. [All characters - except for Vinnie Wynters - are based on the 'X-men: Evolution' cartoon series back in 2000-2003. Unfortunately, I do not own the Marvel's X-men or any of their pictures which I happened to find using Google Images. I certainly wished I owned the rights to this genius fiction because they're practically my life. But everything related to the X-men belong to Marvel and their creators like Martin Goodman, Stan Lee, and others. I have no problem giving credit where credit is due, however - besides the above mentioned information - as of May 30, 2012, all fictional content in THIS fan fiction story, X-Men: Revolution(©) belong to ME and are MY original ideas, as well as the creation of the character Vinnie Wynters(©). Growing up sucks. Especially when you live amongst the toughest group of mutants to ever live. Vinnie Wynterz went through something completely similiar seventeen years ago. Only this time... it's Django's turn: a rebellious, snotty, thick-headed sixteen-year-old who acts a lot older than she is and hates practically everything. Except her mutant abilities. Django resents her mother, refuses to get close to any of her others housemates, and she desperately wants to know who her father is. But her miserable life only seems to get worse when she consistently seems to make the totally wrong decisions. But the problem is... she enjoys the chaos. Will she ever grow up? Hello, Readers! It took me nine years (seriously!) to finish this YA, Dancing With the Devil, and Diversion Books has published it both digitally and in paperback versions. But guess what? I'm also putting it up here on Wattpad, free. Serialized, so it might make you crazy, but still, cool, right? And the whole thing will be here. I'm serializing twice a week every Sunday and Wednesday and the completed story will be one of the Wattpad Featured Stories starting on June 6th. You'll just have to wait to read the whole thing. After it's all up, I get to answer questions in a LIVE Q&A book club! Talking to readers will be a dream come true. WHAT READERS ARE SAYING: "Natalie Wright has divined in Emily's House a simultaneous modern and ancient fairy tale of the greatest kind: sans parents, sans immediate consequence, sans cowardice. Bravery is said to be not the lack of fear, but action in the face of it. Like the best of Grimm, Perrault and Charles Schulz, Ms. Wright's kids find themselves amidst adventure, terror and turmoil, as well as ineffective and/or absent parental units. By their own bootstraps they must find help themselves to find their way home, to save not only each other, but perchance an entire civilization. "Adults drool, kids rule" is the motto for any well-written young adult or children's tale. Natalie's kids indeed rule. This one will last, alongside Grimm, Perrault and Schulz, in the coffers of timeless, fantasy literature. Plus, there's Hindergog and no one could not love Hindergog! Well done, Ms. Wright. Well done, indeed." - Jennifer S. Devore, author of "The Darlings of Orange County"
