This takes place in the beginning of season three, when raps gets back. Varian has been trying to heal, forgive himself and deal with the town hating him. He tries so hard to help, to be a better person but people only see the monster that tired to hurt their Princess. Raps gives him the job of deciphering the Demanatis scroll. What happens to Varian when he learns more about the moonstone, and who it truly belongs to. Will the people fear him more, will he forgive himself for what he has done, and most importantly, what dose Catalina think of him. When a young boy who lost his mother at a young age and was then blamed for it for almost 7 years, is finally rescued from the abuse and harm, finds a loving family to call his own. How will he handle it. (Trigger warning: the first chapter is still with the current abuse there will be flashbacks in later chapters, as we'll as more abuse. This is my take on the idea of a Varian spin-off series of Tangled: The Series/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure. The AU was presented to Disney by storyboarders Kay Ritter and Anna Lencioni who took a liking to Varian's character and decided to create a story for him in his later years; detailing the adventures he might go on and the friends he makes along the way. It's happily ever after in corona! Everyone has a good life. They are enjoing the peace. But what if... Remember the letter that Quirin wrote for Varian before he get incased in the amber? And when he got free, the letter get distroyed. He said that he only wanted to tell Varian, that he was proud of him. But what if... When he was writting it, he has this seriouse face and he was tring so hard to write it. And it was a full page with a small font. All of it to tell his son that he was proud of him? Maybe.
