According to the story, the Chinese gods would tie an invisible string around the ankles of two people that fate would one day bring together. The invisible string would be their way of finding one another. Japanese culture adapted this myth, with their tradition believing that the string was tied around the pinky fingers of two lovers who were destined to meet. The two people connected by the red thread are destined lovers, regardless of place, time, or circumstances. This magical cord may stretch or tangle, but never break. This myth is similar to the Western concept of soulmate or a destined flame. Young Izuku accepted his fate of being quirkless and didn't push that path any further. He discovered that his love for heroes and protecting people can be pursued in a different career choice that he decided to go into the medical field. As he spends his last year in middle school still being picked on by the devilish Katsuki. He knew he didn't want to leave things on bad terms. But sadly he didn't get that happy farewell from middle school to high school since the two parted. They lost their connection together until a brief connection in texts before his flight to his new future to be in the medical field and become a true hero. One without the quirks. But the last text sent from Katsuki... Brought a feeling that was forever hidden to the real world...

Something that gives you hope in finding the partner that fate chose for you. But is it a blessing, or a curse? At the age of 17, every teen receives a mark located on either their wrist or palm. This mark represents the person fate had chosen for them since they were born. Each and every mark is special, not one mark is like another. The design of the mark depends on both the soulmates eyes and quirk. The color is a exact replica of their soulmates eye color. And the shape and idea of the mark is dependent on their quirk. The amount of detail the mark has shows how good their mental health is. Say someone has a extremely breathtaking mark, absolutely stunning. Their soulmate is in mental agony. The more beautiful the mark, the more hurt their soulmate is. Not only will they have a mark connecting them to their soulmate, they can also feel each other's pain. Once both people turn 17, which can take years saying their could be a large age gap, they both can feel the physical pain something could inflict on them. Say one of them breaks their arm, the other wouldn't have a broken arm as well, they would simply be feeling the exact same amount of pain the other is feeling. It's a extremely scary part of having a soulmate since they would be able to feel if their soulmate is being beat but wouldn't be able to do anything about it. Izuku Midoriya is both excited for having a soulmate but also mortified to have one. The boy is abused on the daily and cuts extremely often. The idea of having someone share that pain with him haunts him every night. But it also gives him hope. Hope that someone is out there that could help him get out of the terrible cycle he has begun. Unfortunately, Izuku hits rock bottom just days before his 17th birthday, will his soulmate be able to pull him out of this vicious cycle?

OR Izuku is stuck on a time loop where everytime Kacchan and him become friends, Katsuki inevitably dies.
