Mark has noticed that Ethan is acting off as of lately. Ethan is trying his best to put on an act for the others. The truth is Ethan has depression. He doesn't want the others to find out about it because he thinks that they will kick him out or pity him and he doesn't want them to do that to him because he can't go back to his dad's place because he abuses him. Our main character, Ethan Nestor, lives under a dictatorship. And a very strict one at that. Each and every citizen has a very limited set of rights. And so, it's normal that they are very attached to them. One of those rights concerns one's hair color. It goes this way : "You cannot discriminate one based on one's hair color as long as it is the color that they were born with." Because in this world, people are born with either Brown or Blond hair. However, how is our Blue-haired protagonist supposed to live in this universe?

Mark has been on the police force for a couple years now, he was just signed the toughest case yet, an underground operation that sells their victims to horrible people. He gets two leads on the newest girl up for bidding, Amy. Now he has to make a choice does he buy her to save her, or does he go with the second lead to put a stop to another kidnapping.
