"Something you want to ask me?" he asks, amused. "Nope," I pop the 'p' sound and don't even spare him a glance. My eyes are transfixed on the city lights and the cool air. "The curiosity prevalent in your eyes begs to differ," Cole states. When did his vocab become so fancy-smancy. No Ara. You will not engage in any conversations with him, I firmly tell myself. "Well, Curiosity killed the cat and I for one do not want to take any chances," I glance at him and his smile is so broad and sends tingles all up and down and all around my spine. He chuckles, "Ask away, Ara." _ Five over protective brothers. Two absent parents. A very charming boy. One girl. Arabella Jenson's life is thrown around with just one announcement. A few words. She finds herself in situations she never thought she would ever face. The only thing she knows is that her brothers will be by her side one hundred percent of the time. 2016 3.20 #614 in Teen Fiction! 4.2 # 471 in Teen Fiction! 8.2 # 501 in Teen Fiction! 2017 1.12 # 443 in Teen Fiction! Now available in paperback! "I LOVE IT!" - CarniaHolmes "I'm going to break your nose, because I don't like your face," Carter said. She pointed to Zac. "I'm going to dislocate your other shoulder, just to make them even." She cocked her head and gave the main guy a sickly sweet smile. "I'm going to break your wrist, taking away your baseball career. And finally you, Finch," she said, looking to the last guy. "I'm going to bust your ankle because I don't like the way you walk." She slid her hands into her pockets. "Now, how does that sound to all of you? And please feel free to look amused, skeptical or patronizing at this point. I'll have all the more fun wiping the expressions off your faces." Carter Owens, daughter of a Secret Service agent, is trained to disassemble any weapon, any situation, and anyone. Her biting sarcasm and razor-sharp mind make her impossible to beat in a word fight and when talking doesn't work, she uses her fists. She attends Hamilton Prep, Washington D.C.'s most prestigious high school, where everyone is related to someone in power, except her. When Hamilton Prep receives a flood of new students, Carter's role as social outcast changes when she makes two unexpected friends. Friends who are hiding a secret. As Carter uncovers the truth, she confronts challenges she is unequipped to handle and finds herself in a dangerous situation. For a girl trained to see everything, Carter never saw this coming. "This is one of those books that seem like it won't be really good, but then it's mindblowing-ly amazing and then you're questioning life =)" - rwrites07 "#rr for like the 10th time haha love this book" - tahls16 "I loved this book, it wasn't cringey cliche or stupid. Vampire, Peter Harris was expecting death after committing a crime. He wasn't expecting the alternative of becoming a guardian to a human. Sixteen years later, college student Scar Quinn encounters the man who has been watching her all these years. He's not leaving anytime soon, especially when creatures in the dark are after her. - "Drive!" "But we'll hit him!" "I don't care just drive!" Brad presses on the pedal with full force. The car whips side to side before going straight. The vehicle flies forward and I hold on tight because I don't have my seatbelt on. The headlights are shining towards him. He doesn't move and suddenly the car collides into his body. He goes flying over the hood and crashes into the windshield. The whole window shatters into little bits of glass while we all scream.

Never in my life has my mom ever said something so horrible, so disgusting. Never in my sixteen years of living, have I heard something so awful and cruel. When Mom said those five words, I felt like my world was ending, and that my life was over. "You're going to high school." Now, I know what you're thinking. What's so bad about high school? Well, nothing if you're a normal, responsible human. But, that's just the thing. I'm not human. I'm a vampire. And, I've watched a hundred human movies to know that high school is horrible. My life has officially ended.
