Danni lost her Mother when she was young. Her Father, Noel Hunter, looked after her and her brother, Benjamin (Ben) Hunter. Hearing stories about the famous Straw-hat Pirates, Danni always dreamed that she'd become part of their crew someday. The stories also excited Ben, he wanted to be like The Straw-hats Marksman, Usopp and become a great captain just like Luffy. Danni's dream became a reality when a storm sent The Thousand Sunny towards Stardust Island. Being stuck inside The Stardust Manor meant they got to know each other. Luffy, realising the potential that Danni had, asked if she'd like to join his crew.
