While waiting for Captain Jack to wake up, the team makes a startling discovery about one of their own members. To confuse the situation, Team TARDIS can't be sure who to trust; a swarm of Doppelgängers seem to have made their way into the city, replacing its inhabitants. The Doctor, a 3000 year old time traveling alien and Yasmin Khan, a 24 year old officer from Sheffield, definitely a odd couple of people to become friends as close as they have. They've been traveling together for about a year now and along with their other two friends, Ryan and Graham, have done a lot of fantastical and astonishing adventures in not only time but space as well. However, the Doctor despite knowing better has developed a sort of fascination with Yaz.

After fighting the large spiders in her home town Yaz starts to take time to ground herself and find her feet, only there's a problem. She wants to be swept off them by the doctor. However she has no idea how the doctor feels. Time ticks waiting for something to spill or break. The Doctor drops Ryan and Graham home as they wanted to be on earth for Graces birthday. The Doctor and Yas go and explore and when they come back an old friend of the doctors appears and something strange is happening

As Yaz has a near death experience, the Doctor starts to feel vulnerable and realises she can't protect her friends as much as she hoped to be able to. The loss of control sends her back to the TARDIS alone to figure out if she should continue to pick up companions when all that seems to happen is them dying, or getting injured, or getting lost to time and space. She feels completely alone. Her emotions take over as the doctor lets Yaz into the darkest part of her life, and one thing crosses her mind. Is this the last time I will see her?
