Aya is Katara and Sokka's little sister(so original) and happens to be just like her brother; she isn't a bender. Physically, she loves that her sister is a bender, but mentally she envies her sister and is sad she isn't one. Aya believes she has bending abilities but just hasn't discovered them yet.
