"You'll recognise those men, the ones inclined to their dark side, because they'll expect you to carry their load. They'll smother your anger with their pain, they'll make you doubt yourself, and they'll tell you they love you the whole time..." -Quarry Girls by Jess Lourey 𐮚𐮜𐮚𐮙 Hesperia had seen her fair share of death and destruction and all of the unpleasantness life had to offer. She'd suspected pain, fear, loneliness and suffering were all she'd know. All she'd be destined for...until that had all changed. She had been saved, quite literally, by an Angel. A man who claimed the spot of family where she had none. Fast forward three years, and it was a somewhat solitary but success driven life she led with him. Yet, it could be a hard one. After all, memories didn't truly leave and when you'd witnessed something as gruesome as she did, ghosts tended to linger. But she'd conquered it. Her path was dictated by the light now. There was no dark. Not anymore. At least...there hadn't been before they'd made the truly idiotic error of travelling to a place that's name was even a big, glaring red flag warning you to stay away...if you knew what was good for you. And she didn't. In this town of missing people, surf Nazi's and odd job comic shop boys sprouting nonsense about "Vampires Everywhere!", Hesperia's peace was utterly destroyed. Torn to unsalvageable ruins. All because she'd given this new, beautiful life the benefit of the doubt and had gotten herself tangled in an inescapable mess with four admittedly hot yet psychopathic bikers. Yes...she shouldn't have taken that warning of a title for granted. Santa Carla really was the Murder Capital Of The World. »»»» WARNING: This not a happy story, at the start, I must warn you. Very dark themes when the plot get's going and our gang of vamps are introduced. There's a LOT of angst, blood, injury and manipulation as well as general wickedness including some unsolicited touching

Luna should've never asked Lydia Martin for her edible crystal in chemistry class. Then she wouldn't have to deal with an unrequited love for Scott McCall or Derek's pack nagging her to no end. Everything would be normal. But it seems like normal's never gonna happen in a place like Beacon Hills.
