It is 1969. Endeavour is finding it very hard to cope. The Thursday family are more worse off than ever before, but the arrival of a beautiful stranger throws more than a spanner in the works, and Endeavour finds himself involved in the delicate world of War babies and another encounter with the Army - one which he is determined to sort once and for all!
